Spring is coming!

Spring is coming, and you know what that means....cute baby animals! I don't know why everything mini is so cute. When things are small it just automatically makes them better! Here are some pictures to prove my point.

What we have been doing...

It has been a long time since I have posted anything on this blog. Somehow school and work seem to get in the way of everything that I want to do. Since I am extremely boring, here is what BJ has been up to.... yes, to answer your question, that is a real beard. How long did it take to grow that amazing thing you ask? Just a measly three weeks! BJ got bored with it and decided to switch things up a bit and it turned into a sweet goatee! Why a picture of a toilet? Well BJ has been remodeling our bathroom and we were without a toilet (that flushes) for two weeks! I used this lovely get-up...and one of our trees is very well, should I say watered? Luckily I am gone all day and mostly all night so this wasn't as bad as is looks. We now have a functioning toilet and I will say that I am grateful for the invention of the flush!

Thanksgiving

As I sat by my parents warm fire yesterday, almost asleep from all the mashed potatoes and stuffing I ate, I looked around at my wonderful family and husband and felt a deep sense of gratitude for my life. I truly feel like I am the luckiest girl. I love my wonderful husband whom always makes me happy. I am grateful for the opportunities I have, for a warm house, a job I love, friends that enrich my life, and a faith that gets me through life. I am thankful for quite a bit more but I am sure that nobody else wants to read that list. I hope you all had a delicious Thanksgiving just as I did! Hooray for the Indians and the Pilgrims!

Real life Furbys!

One day long ago I was given the best birthday present one could hope for. I had just turned 18 and my then boyfriend gave me the sweetest present....yes you guessed it, a furby! It was so darling and would copy everything I said. It slept in my room and would frequently wake up in the middle of the night wanting attention, just like a real pet. It would exclaim in a very sweet voice "me hungry...Yuuuuum". All of my friends were jealous of the furby, and one day some very rude person stole him from my room. I hope wherever you are furby that you are well. I was inspired to write and ode to my furby because of the wonderful news I received yesterday from my good friend Mern. Furbys are REAL. Thank you Mern for the best news of my life.

Our house!

BJ and I are finishing our kitchen in our basement. We bought a house this past July...we are real life grown ups now. I am not sure how fun being a grown up is with all the responsibility it brings but I do like living in our own cute house! It was an old grandma house with all the wonderful shag carpet and wood panel walls, so we have our work cut out for us. We decided to rent out the top and live in the basement and so we have just been redoing it little by little. 

Comb-overs

This blog was inspired by the current photo of BJ and I. If you haven't noticed yet BJ has a comb-over in this picture. He claims to hate this picture yet somehow it ended up as his facebook picture and he hasn't changed this picture. Secretly I think he is trying to emulate THE Donald.

brand new blogger

Well BJ is playing poker and I didn't want to do homework so this is what came out of the situation....a blog. I am not sure what to do with a blog but is seems like a good idea. One day I might be able to put something interesting on our blog, I guess we will see!
